OvaHere Media was founded in San
Francisco in 2002 with a grand; some might say naïve, vision of creating an online
event portal where people could easily find out everything that's
going on in Bay Area. Yes, everything.
From the founders...
It seemed to us that making exciting weekend plans meant going to ten different
websites or newspapers. Like many of our peers, we would spend a significant amount
of time on Friday afternoons searching the internet for the perfect party or show.
Eventually, spending three hours of company time looking for something to do that
weekend took its toll. It dawned on us that it was time for a user-friendly and
comprehensive solution to this time consuming problem, and the OvaHere.com
idea was conceived.
Another favorite work-time activity was looking at the photos that various local
party promoters had on their websites, and we felt that they would compliment our
event calendar perfectly. People would be able to see what's happening (the calendar)
and make decisions based on what's happened (the photos). We work with many talented
local photographers and cinematographers to capture the spirit and vibrancy of San
Francisco, and our galleries provide proof that there is rarely a dull moment in the
Bay Area.
OvaHere and our partners have worked hard to ensure that our original goal of creating
the quintessential local event website has been accomplished. Whether you are looking
